Why does every decision you make now a days have to be so incredibly difficult? Before I decided to try cloth diapers I had to do some research. I knew nothing about them. The first time I typed in those words, "cloth diaper" I was completely shocked at how many websites there were to search. Hundreds of thousands! There are different types of cloth diapers and about a million different brands. Then there are also thousands of wahm's (work-at-home-moms) that are handmaking them and selling them. Then there are tons of sites that resell gently used! Then of course there's ebay, etsy, etc and you'll find a billion more...
Whatever happened to making decisions based off a few options? Like- what kind of detergent should we use? Arm and Hammer or Tide? Decision made. No- there are like- 100 different kinds of detergent! This is true for every purchase or choice to be made. No more simplicity. No more this or that? It's this or that or that or that or- you get the point. There are even different brands of baking soda. Why?! It's baking soda. I'm pretty sure they are all the same...And now with "off'brands" mocking "brands" for cheaper prices we have twice as many options for all of the hundreds of options we already had! Don't try to search for a new shampoo- you'll be completely overwhelmed. Don't try to figure out which lotion is best- you'll get a headache. Don't try to look for the perfect white blouse- you'll be shopping for fourteen days.
I went shopping for the "perfect" pair of boots and I went to Baybrook mall two days in a row for about six hours total. My sister went with me the second day and I pretty much made her decide because I was about to have a panic attack. Good thing they sell gelato at the mall now. That helped soothe my frustration....oh wait- it took about 15 minutes to decide what flavors to get! You get to choose 3 you know. And there are about 40 of them.
Does anyone else get where i'm coming from? Am I crazy? Or is the society in which we live? with our money hungry companies, over-production, over stimulation, the need to make the perfect product for every single selfish human being. What do you think? I'm done. Oh, and if you're wondering what cloth diapering method I've chosen....well- I haven't decided yet.

Have you talked to Meagan Johnson about cloth diapers?? She's using them and loves them!
yeah I have; we use different brands and I think i'm going to just have to keep trying different kinds to see what works on my tall skinny baby! I think I'm finally getting to the end of the road...thanks!
