Brain tumors


Brain tumors can directly destroy brain cells. Sites where cancer cells were referred to as the primary cancer. Metastatic brain tumors are often referred to as brain injury or metastases. Metastatic brain tumors are the most common of brain tumors.


Metastatic brain tumors are one type of tumor that originated from cancer in other body parts. Tumors or cancer that attacks the brain usually from lung cancer, breast cancer, melanoma, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, or certain sarcomas. Some cancer cells carried to the brain by the blood or lymphatic fluid, or can be spread from adjacent tissue.

Treatment of patients depends on the size and type of tumor, initial location of the tumor, and the general health of the people. Treatment goals can relieve symptoms, improve function, or comfort.
