Too busy to hit the gym? Not willing to diet?
Well, you don't have to if you know the simple life-hacks to shed those pounds without the sweat.
Learn the little tweaks to your lifestyle that could help you drop a dress size:
1. Go public
The daily walk to and from bus stops and train stations may boost calorie burn, according to a report in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
Public transport commuters may drop 3kg within a year – and are 81 per cent less likely to put it back on.
2. Drink more water
A 2010 study found that people who guzzled two cups of water before a meal consumed 75 to 90 fewer calories than those who didn’t drink up.
(They also weighed 2.5 kg lighter after 12 weeks of doing so!)
This zero- calorie beverage keeps you feeling satiated for a longer time, so you’ll end up eating less, explains study author, Associate Professor Brenda Davy.
3. Fidget
Besides burning extra calories, fidgeting has been shown to boost cardiorespiratory fitness (the body’s ability to get oxygen to the muscles) in a new study published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.
The benefits?
Lower cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and total body fat.
