Vaginoplasty is becoming popular among women professionals in Singapore with many willing to spend between RM10,000 (S$4,000) to RM60,000 (S$24,000) to have it done, Sin Chew Daily reported.

It quoted a 42-year-old woman named Ho as saying that she had undergone the procedure to revive her sex life.

Ho described the surgery as a success and said it had opened up "a whole new world".
Vaginoplasty is reconstructive plastic surgery to correct defects and deformities in a woman's private parts.

Labiaplasty is the most common procedure usually done to reduce the size of the skin folds surrounding a woman's private parts.

In the past, labiaplasty is usually done by obstetricians and gynaecologists but now many go to cosmetic surgeons as they view the surgery as a cosmetic procedure.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr Chua Jun Jin said most of those going for the procedure were professionals, both single and married.

He also said the number of women who went for labiaplasty in the United States, Britain and Australia had increased over the past 15 years.
